What is a cyber attack?

Taking what we now know about "cyber risk", a cyber attack is defined as an attempt by hackers to damage or destroy a computer network or system.  Unfortunately for businesses, these take countless shapes, are non-discriminatory with regard to size or industry, and far reaching as opposed to isolating a single organization.
